Far from WOW. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, lack of attention to detail, and way we were treated during our project. The salesman neglected to communicate to the project manager (Kevin) that our contract included kitchen tile demo. The crew left and then hurriedly came back to do the demo without making adequate preparations to protect the contents of our home, furnishings, clothes, etc. When the project manager (Kevin) called the salesman, the salesmen told Kevin to leave the tile under our washer/dryer in the kitchen without demo'ing it. Thankfully, Kevin knew that this wasn't the right thing to do. Because our condo and possessions were not adequately protected during the demo process, my husband and I had to throw out several of our possessions since we couldn't get the dust out of everything (also had to hire an air duct cleaning company to get all the tile demo dust out of our air vents since none of the vents were properly sealed off). Cornerstone's commercials claim that all cabinets are made in house, yet there was an issue with one of our drawer fronts and we waited over a month for one final drawer front to be installed. When Joe finally came out to install the missing drawer front and fix another one of the drawers that was binding, he wasn’t equipped with the correct drawer pull… and had to make another separate trip. The electricians installed two new outlets which were crooked and at uneven heights. USB outlet was not installed where I had indicated to salesman, but since I neglected to notice this mistake in the contract, understood that was on me. When I mentioned the situation to the salesman, he said, “If you want to move the USB outlet to the other location, you can move it yourself… it will cause more dust.” They also forgot to order our Kohler faucet prior to the start of the project. The plumber re-installed our old faucet before it was rectified. However, even given all the issues and fact that the project was not yet complete, our salesman had no problem texting me about the final balance (didn't bother to call to follow up, didn't bother to find out if the project was actually done, if we were happy, or if there were any issues). Cornerstone seems much more concerned with cranking out volume than they are quality and customer satisfaction. Our project did not match the standards they claim (we go for WOW?!) and charge customers for. Very disappointed given the high cost of the work. Would not recommend.

We hired Cornerstone Builders to redo our Kitchen and Bath. It's been 14 months now since signing our contract and the project still isn't complete. It's been nothing but a nightmare dealing with this company. Upper management lies, they promise and don't deliver and their workers which are extremely nice but not craftsmen break things but don't tell you. You have to find it on your own. They chipped the new countertops twice, parked on our sidewalk and cracked it, put in a broken spice rack, put a tennis ball size dent in our brand new refrigerator, and the list goes on and on. Even though it took them 4 times and 6 months to get the cabinet doors installed (wrong size, wrong color, or damaged the first 3 times) The most upsetting is after paying top dollar for a new kitchen, the finished product isn't what we wanted and it is not as it's listed on our contract. Some of the cabinets are the wrong size, island is smaller than it should be, and the crown molding over vent hood is wrong. They forgot to put in fillers so the pantry door which is next to the refrigerator hits the refrigerator every time you need to pull out a drawer. Can't move the refrigerator to the other side because the side panel they installed for the refrigrator on the other side is too short so the refrigerator door hits the countertop when it opens. Some of the paint on side panels has already started to crack after just a couple months. We were told 3 months ago that a new freezer drawer for the refrigerator was ordered to fix the big dent they caused. I decided to call the appliance company on my own yesterday to get an eta and was advised that Cornerstone still hasn't paid for it so it hasn't been ordered yet. Looks like this is a never ending nightmare not to mention they still haven't fixed the cracked sidewalk, still haven't finished the punch list and still haven't come up with a solution for the missing cabinet fillers, wrong cabinet sizes and wrong crown. On a positive note, our designer and property manager have been great and friendly but I believe these issues are out of their control. If you would like to see their work in person, let me know, and I'd be more than happy to show you.

First time working with a designer and feel very fortunate to have worked with Donna Smith. She walked me through the entire process and was very professional. She explained estimates, payment processes and work schedules. The project manager ,Dale, was very responsive to us with answers to our questions. He returned phone calls when necessary and was very aware of changes we made along the way as far as color of faucets & installation times.Completion time was within our expectations.Very happy with the staff and quality of work.

No problems other than with a flooring subcontractor which Cornerstone resolved. Cornerstone was easy to work with, on time, and efficient. Our designer was Lori and our project manager was Will, both were easily available and responsive. Lori provided us with regular photos and videos so we could see the progress from afar.

We hired Cornerstone because of the outstanding job they did in the kitchen of our previous house. We know that they are on the pricier side but with the previous job they did we felt they were certainly worth it. So much so that we recommended them to many or our friends and acquaintances. I called my original salesman and told him I wanted the same kitchen cabinets and sink that they had done previously for us. They had my old paperwork (and I had ours) and the salesman wrote up our contract in December 2016. We were closing on our condo on January 30th and were told that the kitchen would be done before then. Cabinet doors were installed and were nothing like the cabinets I ordered. I was told that they had changed the production of those cabinets a long time ago, My salesman never told me that. He knew I wanted them just like my other ones but neglected to tell me or show me what the new production looked like. After going back and forth with them they said they would do the doors over and have someone hand do them like they used to. When they brought them back it looked like a small child had done them. They took the doors back. When they put my sink in they cracked it and try to cover it up. It was also not set in correctly, using way to much silicone. Project manager came out to assess it and said they would have to order a new sink. Had to wait for 2 weeks to get another sink, but at least this time it was put in correctly and without being cracked. Then they came to put in air switch which was order right from the beginning and put in a silver one because they didn't have the bronze one to match the bronze faucet. Had to wait for 2 weeks for this to be replaced. When they came to cut granite for sink they taped of the kitchen. When they took the tape down the paint came all off with it. We had recently had the entire condo painted and now it looked terrible. I had to call several times to get that taken care of and it took at least 3 weeks before painters showed up. Then there was the time someone came to fix some tiles and didn't bring grout with him. Left to go get some and didn't come back for 2 1/2 hours. Then the electrician came to install the light over the bar area and drilled one of the holes through the bottom of the cabinet in the wrong place. In the meantime the issue with the cabinets has still not been resolved. Now we go to a meeting with Tony Jr. and Tony Sr. We have never been treated with so much unprofessionalism as we encountered with Tony Sr. I just couldn't believe it. He acted like this was all our fault. If we had been told and shown a sample of their new production on the refacing of these doors I would not have ordered them. He said the salesmen are very busy and cannot keep up with changes in production. If they cannot keep up then they shouldn't be salesman. Their job is to know the product that they are selling. There are so many more things like waiting so many times and having no one show up, phones calls that are never returned, etc. On March 20th Kevin came to our house with 2 sample doors for me to see that Tony Jr told me that he had hired the original artist to do. It was unbelievable, they were nothing like our original cabinets. Kevin came back the next day with another sample which I approved because they were better than the ones they had installed. Kevin had me sign the back of the door saying I approved it and wanted them back by March 31st, as I was going to be left that time with no doors on my cabinets. I never heard back from Cornerstone. On April 14th I called Kevin and told him I never heard from them. He said he couldn't believe it and that he had a meeting with Tony Sr the following Monday morning and would get this matter straightened out. Well here it is May 1st and I have not heard from Cornerstone. Now 4 1/2 months have gone by and the problem is still not resolved. When we first hired them they only had one small showroom on Metro Parkway. They were professional, conciensis, and very customer caring. I guess now that they have grown so much their customer service has changed drastically. I am very disillusioned with Cornerstone. I have many pictures, emails, and etc. to back this up.

I am writing you to let you know of my dissatisfaction with the way my bathroom and kitchen remodel went with Cornerstone. I had a partial kitchen remodel done by Cornerstone several years ago and was very pleased with the complete job. Even the price seemed reasonable. Jim Wilkins was the salesman and everything went smoothly and quickly. For this reason I chose them to do the work on my bathroom and to complete the remodel of the kitchen. All I can say is what a difference a few years makes! I contacted Jim again in November of 2015. The job started in October 2016 and was finally completed in February of 2017. Jim worked up a sketch of what he proposed and a price. I thought the price was quite high but, silly me, thought I was still dealing with the same company I had hired years ago. I selected tile, cabinets, hardware and thought we were on the way. I was leaving in late May for the summer and wanted it to be completed before I left. That didn’t happen! Jim suggested they have access to my home while I was gone so that the demo would be done and I wouldn’t have to live through it. Since I had been robbed by a contractor before, I explained I was not comfortable with that. So it was started in mid October. I said I wanted it done by Thanksgiving since I was having company for the holiday and my clothing and bathroom goods were scattered all over the house. The demo went quickly and I was pleased with the progress and with the team doing the work. Now, when someone tells me a job will take 4-6 weeks, I figure six. Which was close to Thanksgiving. The only thing that was partially done was my closet, which allowed me to hang SOME of the things scattered around the house. After the demo, things went poorly and slowly. The drywall, painter, tile people, electricians, and plumber were less than efficient. And then: 1. The shower accent tile was grouted with the wrong color. That had to be torn out and reordered. I figured that the darker grout was for the floors, and the white was for the shower walls, floors, and accents. 2. The seat in the shower was put in slanted so water would puddle in the corner instead of draining off. More time waiting for someone to come and fix it. 3. There was no valet rod in the closet, which I had asked for from the beginning. It was one of the last items to be done. If I hadn’t kept reminding them, it may never have been done. 4. The kitchen was done fairly quickly but there were angled cabinets in two places with no shelves. Three people measured for the shelves over the weeks. Still no shelves. I had to constantly remind both Jim and Sean about them. 5. The shower door was supposed to be rimless. When I went in there to look at it it had a bar across the top, bottom and sides. After much conversation with Jim I finally decided to leave it. Apparently, the opening was too small to make a sliding door rimless. It would have been nice if that had been explained to me at the beginning. I probably would have gone with a hinged door, instead, had I known. 6. The office would call the day before to inform me of the time the workers would arrive the next day. On a couple of days, I had appointments and wouldn’t be available to let them in until later in the morning or early afternoon. No one would show up, sometimes for a couple of days after that. 7. The electrician put in under counter lighting in three different areas of my kitchen. And put them all on one switch!!!! That had to be fixed. 8. I was unable to use a couple of the outlets because I couldn’t get the plug in in the kitchen. 9. The electrical failed inspection three times, partly due to smoke detectors being in the wrong place, but also because recessed lights were too close to shelving or walls. As the inspector said, you would think licensed electricians would be aware of the code requirements. So those had to be removed, patched, repainted and reinstalled, over a period of several days. 10. Sometimes two or three different people would show up at different times to do the same job! Needless to say, one or two of them wasted their time and your money. I have never seen worse communication within a company in my life. 11. A bathroom outlet didn’t work so had to be fixed. Another in the kitchen was the same. 12. Carpeting in doorway to bedroom was not finished off. I had to call Sean, the job supervisor, and he came and did it himself. BUT there has been no molding replaced along a part of it. (See photo) 13. The paint in the bathroom is rough in some corners and there are little chips of what looks like dried paint throughout. So it’s anything but smooth. (see photo) 14. The living room wall that backs up to the master bath had an outlet that was connected to the bath. That was taken out and the bare wires were left hanging. That had to be fixed. 15. Plumbing in master bath failed inspection once. 16. The "seamless countertops" in the kitchen were anything but seamless. And the grout is staining. (see photo) Please understand that MOST of the above items were things I had to call about and then wait for someone to get over and address and attempt to solve over a period of several days. None of the employees ever bothered going over what needed to be done. Although I would tell some things to Sean, he would take pictures and then only remember a couple of them. Do you have qualified job supervisors? The total job, said to take 4-6 weeks, was finished (mostly) by mid to late February. And except for a couple of hours, I was stuck here for the whole time! So that is four MONTHS!!! I would say that your (too) numerous advertisements that promise quick work sound more like false advertisements. Perhaps if you could take some of your advertising budget and place it on hiring professionals instead of amateurs you would not have these types of complaints and dissatisfaction. My neighbors have gotten a good laugh about the length of time they have seen Cornerstone trucks in my driveway! Somewhere through all of this a box of expensive clothing vanished. Don't know what to say but it was there and then it was gone. Can't imagine who or how but gone is gone. I did receive a small "refund for inconvenience during Remodeling Job" after I sent a letter to the owner. At one point he was coming to the house, but once the offer of money was made that didn't happen. Definitely NOT good advertising there. I have definitely not been “WOWED” by any part of this job. The final product is nice, but definitely middle of the road in quality.

It was a very, very unhappy situation. It started when the salesman first came out. They sent somebody out, who was either, under the influence of something or having a stroke or something because the communication was just awful. But I had heard that they were a good company, so I called the company and they sent somebody else out. The next person who came out was very good. She helped me design things. The early part of the experience with her was wonderful. They came out, the first thing they did was go to install the countertops in the kitchen. They put a seam where the designer specifically said there should not be a seam. I suggested it go there originally and she said, "No, you're going to get dirt and stuff from the dishwasher because it was near the sink." So I specifically gave my husband the instructions of what was supposed to be done and I went to go play golf. I'm on the first tee and I get this phone call from my husband, "The countertop is seamed where you said it wasn't supposed to be seamed." With that I called my salesperson and she starts screaming at me, calling me a liar. She called me a liar. I said, "At no point, is this what I agreed to." I said, "We even talked about it and you told me 'no'" She was like, "You're lying to me, we talked about this." I said, "No, we didn't." So I don't play golf, I come home, I see what they're doing, I'm like hysterical, I'm very upset. They finally tell me it's the only way it can be because that's all the longer the quartz is and it has to be there. So I finally agree. They convince me that it's not going to look bad and it's not going to be a problem. They go to install it, it's not cut properly, it doesn't fit. I noticed that day or the following day when they came back and actually installed that part that the sink cut outs were crooked. They were not cut straight, they were bulged, it was just a mess. It was terrible. So they had to take it out again and take it back to the shop and cut it again. It came back again and it still wasn't right. The guy, who was the installer, was just incredible. He was really good. He took it out into the driveway and sanded it down and sanded it down and buffed it out, so that it's pretty close to straight now. It's still not straight, but it's livable. So then they install the countertops. They did the same thing in the bathrooms. In the bathrooms, I have rectangular sinks, they were not cut out properly. They had to take those out and redo those again. This is after they installed them and then I had a backsplash put in with an accent tile. That was done three times and it's still not right. And then, the owner, who does all these commercials about what a great Christian family company they are and easy to work with, sends me a letter, telling me he is putting a lien on my house for payments. I paid everything as we went along. You had to pay before they start installing that day, which was fine. The job wasn't done and he sent me a letter, telling me he is going to put a lien on my house unless I pay the final payment. They had not installed the light fixtures, the mirrors weren't right. There was a lot that wasn't done and he had the nerve to send me a letter to put a lien on my house. I called - he is completely unavailable, obviously - and I talked to his right-hand woman. Basically, no apology for doing this. She was like, "I'll talk to him and find out what's going on," I never heard back as to why they were putting a lien on my house. Obviously, they didn't because the job wasn't done. Finally, they get most of the job done. Everything is done except for one mirror. It's a real nice maple. The mirror in the second bathroom has a big knot in it. The only place in any cabinet and any piece of anything in my house that has a knot in it. So I told them that I wanted that to be replaced and I wasn't going to make the final $200 payment until that was done. So I get a phone call -- and this happened a couple of times. They would make an appointment to come to do something and they didn't have the parts to do it. So they make this phone call to me and say they're coming out to put the new mirror in, nobody comes, nobody comes, nobody comes. I make a phone call, she says, "The materials aren't even in yet. I don't know why somebody called you to tell you that they're going to make an appointment." So, I finally got so frustrated that I said, "You're not getting the final $200, I'm not happy with the mirror, but you're not coming back to my house because I'm done dealing with you." They never put a lien on my house, the mirror has still got a big knot on it. Every time I walk into that bathroom it's the first thing I see. I can't do this anymore. After the salesperson was screaming at me, telling me I was a liar, she called me back the next day all sweet and charming, "How are things going?" and I said, "You know what Stefanie, you owe me an apology and until you give it to me, you are no longer on this project. I will find somebody else to handle it." She never apologized. I told the project manager about what happened and he was the one who coordinated everything from there on. He was wonderful too. There were a couple of great people in the process here, which is why they get a 'D' and not an 'F.' It was a horrible experience. I then find out that I'm not the only one who had a horrible experience with them.

In showroom Todd lied to me (as they have to others in these reviews.) Nr, 1 reason you use Cornerstone, they say, is because they do all the work in house. no sub contractors. A wall with electric wires in it had to be removed, so their subbed contractor DPR Electric sent a cowboy "electrician" in who started a house fire by "banging" wires together to identify circuits! My cameras captured the entire project for fun ... time lapse. It turned into a perfect forensic tool. Stop work order issued by insurance company whom CStone recommend I not call. Wonder why? . FD got all the smoke out. Then they resumed work like nothing had happened! They were fired for incompetence and lack of safety. . So I had to buy my cabinets from them. Took a month dealing with their lawyers who threatened to put a "foreclosure lien" on my house if I didn't pay usurious price to get them. After a month they finally settled. Their internal communications is TERRIBLE! After the fire insurance company wanted to debrief electrician, if he even was one? No! Who walks in during insurance company visit? The electrician! Next day email from Cstone asking "why didn't you let electrician in your house?" Like WTH??? "Junior" (their VP) walks in and asks to see one of the burned out switches. I placed them in his hand. He exclaims that he knows the cause of the fire. They are wired wrong! Clairvoyance? They're not wired to anything!!! 3 weeks they would've been there. And every day a poor girl calls me to tell me to expect them the next day. I KNOW!!!!!!! The think that's normal. After they have been fired, their taper shows up, To tape what? There's no drywall up!!! New GC hired. Most of the work they did in 4 days had to be redone. I had paid them $10,000 and got not a penny back. I am now in week 2 of the new company. So far so good. Their TV advertising is SO deceiving! I cannot believe they get away with this.

Great experience. Prompt, courteous, professional service. No hidden costs. I chose Cornerstone because this is their primary business. I got an estimate from a home improvement store, but while I was there, a customer called needing immediate attention and his salesperson was out to lunch. Upon returning from lunch, my salesperson gave him the message, but he refused to return the call right away saying he was busy and had other things to do, even though he was told the installer was there with questions. Cornerstone's estimate was higher than the home improvement store, but the courtesy, service, and promptness were worth the extra dollars. I am a highly satisfied customer. Another difference is that when I chose my countertops, at the home improvement store, I was shown a 1x3 inch chip. At Cornerstone, I actually walked through their warehouse and yard and could look at full pieces or quartz and granite. I was also given a large sample to take home and make sure of my final choice. From the time I approved the estimate to the time my countertops were installed was approximately 1 week. My design consultant, Donna Smith, was excellent with offering suggestions and spent a great deal of time with me. The installation crew headed by Jackson was very efficient and professional. There was a slight problem with the size of the backsplash and one of the crew was sent back to Ft. Myers to have it recut correctly. (It was a 1 1/2 hour trip back to Ft. Myers.) The other two continued working, completing what they could while waiting. He returned later that day, backsplash was installed, work all completed and they cleaned up. ( I just feel like another company would have either tried to make the wrong size work, messing up my wall tile, OR they would have said oh we have to go have this recut, we'll be back next week). You can expect quality service with this company.
Description of Work: Installed new quartz countertops, composite sink and faucet, and 4 " backsplash.

I couldn't find any flaws in the workmanship. They were beyond professional from the salesman to the demo crew , the countertop installers, the electricians, the plumbers, even the girl Kristy who schedule the daily work. Paul Rorech the sales person was the best. He advised us on certain things(glazing the cabinets, the type of faucet etc.) and my wife was completely satisfied with his suggestions. It was more than what she expected. I would recommend Cornerstone anytime to anyone. They are truly a profession company.Their crews were extremely polite, neat and clean.
Description of Work: They installed counter tops(quartz), refaced all our cabinet doors and out in a new sink /w faucet and garbage disposal. They changed all my electrical outlets and installed 5 new smoke detectors.

I did a complete remodel of the kitchen including moving electrical, moving the island and sink location which involved trenching the floor and installing new plumbing. The laundry room was converted into a Butler's Pantry and the laundry room was moved to the adjacent room which also involved trending the floor to move the plumbing. They were here overtime they said they would be. The entire process took about 2 months, but it was a huge job. They did everything they said they would do and then some. If there was something that I didn't like they fixed it immediately. They never asked for more than the agreed upon amount even when there was a miscommunication regarding tile and I picked a tile that was significantly more expensive than what they had allotted. The company agreed that they haven't explained the tile budget and they absorbed the cost without any problems or haggling. My kitchen is gorgeous and they stand behind their work 100%. I had an issue over a year later with the finish on 1 cabinet and they replaced it immediately. The quality of the workers at Cornerstone are top notch, and trust me in over 2 months you spend a lot of time with them. I can't say enough good things about this company and I will be using them in the future for bathroom remodel.

Cornerstone employee was very unprofessional,
Description of Work: Nothing, I called to have a in home estimate for new kitchen cabinets and countertops along with two bathroom cabinets and countertops. As I am purchasing the home and we are in escrow, and we have lived in the home for six years. I was told by the girl who answered the phone that was not an option, due to the fact we did not own the home today. Well we will be their competitors clients! Thanks CornerStone, you will not be getting my business when we close.

We were shocked with high price of estimate. The daily full page advertisements in the newspapers was a big negative. The reviews for the company at Angie's list was another reason to look for a different provider.
Description of Work: Came to our property, responded with an estimate to replace cabinets, mirror in bathroom.
