The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company served as a proud supporter of the Sanibel Historical Museum & Village Gala Celebration on February 20th, a sold-out event at the Sanibel Community House which also marked the historical organization’s 40th anniversary. The unforgettable evening featured the premiere of a captivating documentary on the history of hurricanes on Sanibel, titled “Wreckage, Resilience & Recovery: The History of Hurricanes on Sanibel & Captiva.” Directed by local documentarian Ken Sneeden, the film was in the works well before Hurricane Ian roared on shore in 2022. Sanibel Captiva Trust Co. Sponsors FISH Annual Race The FISH 10K recently took place on Sanibel as a fundraiser to benefit FISH’s programs on the islands. Presidents Jeff Muddell (Sanibel) and Megan Marquardt (Fort Myers) of The Trust Company participated in the race with some 500 runners! The event featured 10k and 5k races as well as a children’s fun run and after party. That evening a concert was held at the beach at Tween Waters on Captiva.
